Sports Premium
We are proud to have achieved the School Games Platinum award which recognises the high quality sports provision we offer. We work with Vale Royal School Sports Partnership and Weaverham High School to ensure we deliver high quality PE lessons, attend competitions and festivals, and to engage with PE and sport specific training. We work with coaches in school to develop teacher subject knowlegde and to enhance the provision for children. We engage with all the competitions provided by the Vale Royal School Sports Partnership and provide a wide range of free and part subsidised clubs including: tennis, rugby, football, fencing, dance, Judo, gymnastics, yoga, hockey and many more.
Swimming
Children across KS2 receive swimming lessons for 10 weeks in the year. The school use the sport premium funding to ensure top-up swimming lessons are provided in upper KS2.
Data
89% of Year 6 children can swim a distance of 25m competently, proficiently and confidently.
Year 5 and 6 children have received training in safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.
